Polygonal is presented as a suite of integrated modules: Underwriting Each policy has a summary screen giving totals by currency, plus an overall total in the main reporting currency for premium and claim amounts. It is possible to view each individual transaction included in the total. The system provides both individual year results figures and all previous year results for all policy types. In calculating and displaying the results, Polygonal also takes into consideration the latest position with regard to the Outstanding Claim Reserves.
Claims The claims module services all activities from first claims advice through to amendments, payments, receipts, settlements and adjusting reserves.
Standard memos and letters plus integral message and diary systems can be activated at the point of input. On completion of data entry, all relevant files such as Statistics, Revenue and Regulatory Bodies are automatically updated. Polygonal maintains claim histories and an audit trail. Policy enquiry from within the claims module automatically displays the policy status as at date of loss. Accounting Polygonal incorporates a full accounting and financial module.
Transactions are posted automatically from the policy records to accounts and broker ledgers. The system also provides advanced reconciliation facilities, with ledger statements produced on a periodic basis and also on request. A full history enquiry is available on any paid items for the accounts personnel to view past reconciliations and eliminate the need to retain hard copies. Full audit trial enquires are provided at every level of the system.
The cash module allows input and automatic posting to ledgers and bank accounts with a real time bank balance enquiry. Reporting Clearly structured financial reporting enables precision management. Direct access to key information, allows managers to make informed decisions. A suite of standard reports for Underwriting, Claim Management and Accounting purposes are available.
Flexible reporting tools also allow for ad-hoc non-standard reports to be produced easily. Polygonal provides a flexible, scalable solution.
