We have many years' experience of both conversion of data from one database format to another, but also of the inevitable consolidation exercise required when systems are merged together onto one platform. By its very nature, conversion is not a standard product and requires customisation for both source and destination systems. CCL has a standard and comprehensive set of conversion parameters, which includes a large range of fields necessary for an insurance application, and which thus speed up the process of conversion.
Recent data conversion exercises have included:
A conversion which took data from eleven different accounts, and which had previously been processed by four unrelated systems. There were about 7 million transactions within the completed system.
A smaller conversion which involved merging together three different systems to be processed as a single unit.
